For Color Lab Gdl, Xerweb aided in conceptualizing the benefits of publishing a website,
proposed a project that matched their goals,
outlined a plan of action,
managed a team that built the site structure,
designed the graphical interface,
optimized the images,
developed the XHTML markup and CSS code,
purchased the domain name,
opened a Web Hosting account,
posted the site,
created ftp accounts for 5+ users,
created e-mail accounts for 10+ users,
provided technical assistance on
configuring their ftp and e-mail clients and
programmed custom forms for file-upload & feedback-receipt.
The Color Lab Gdl. website is still under development, maintenance and support by Xerweb.
2005-Present
Beetik, a unique space for sharing global art, knowledge and media.
For Beetik, Xerweb designed the graphical interface from the client's wishes,
developed the XHTML markup and CSS code,
implemented WordPress,
built custom PHP plug-ins,
programmed custom forms for file-upload,
installed JavaScript plug-ins,
trained the editors to update the site.
The Beetik website is still under development, maintenance and support by Xerweb.
2005-Present
The City University of New York, the largest urban university in the United States.
At CUNY, Xerweb's Director works full-time as a Web Developer & Project Leader,
where she leads the Web Team of the Office of Communications and Marketing
through Web Development and Content Management projects. The public CUNY Website is run using
a Java/XML/XSL Open-Source/Home-Grown Content Management System that handles Feeds
and connects with MySQL Databases and offers various editing interfaces including a Graphical
XML/JavaScript Web Editing Application. The site is complemented by an ASP/SQL Events Caledar
and several PHP/MySQL blog instances.
Maintaining the CUNY Website includes writing XHTML markup and CSS code,
working closely with server administrators and programmers,
researching new technologies,
training web editors on software use,
keeping software documentation and
producing user manuals.
The CUNY website is still under development, maintenance and support by Xerweb's Director.
2004-2007
The Studio, a dance and performance studio in Weschester, New York.
For The Studio, Xerweb designed the logo,
developed XHTML markup and CSS code to match the client's ideas,
built the site structure,
purchased the domain name,
opened a Web Hosting account with our suggested Web Host,
posted the site,
optimized images,
installed WordPress,
created e-mail accounts for 5+ users,
provided technical assistance on email and data backup.
The Studio website is no longer under development, maintenance or support by Xerweb.
